Can I Get My Prescription Delivered?

Normally you need to complete an order form, provide the prescription, and make a payment on line or through the mail.

Local drug stores like CVS, Walgreens or Publix offer medication fulfillment or refills through the mail.

CVS has created an app where you can choose your delivery location.

Can CVS deliver my prescription?

Customers who wish to have their medications delivered directly to their mailbox, as quickly as the next day1, can now request prescription delivery via the CVS Pharmacy app or by calling their neighborhood store and asking to have their prescriptions delivered. The delivery service charge is $4.99.

Does Walgreens offer prescription delivery?

Approximately 400 Walgreens stores offer Healthcare Clinic or other provider retail clinic services. Most prescriptions orders available to be delivered to the patient’s home by the next business day. Orders must be received by 4pm, Monday through Friday.

You are only permitted to mail prescription drugs via the USPS if you are a pharmacist or medical provider mailing such drugs to the patient they have been prescribed to. This means that without proper medical licensing you can receive prescription drugs, but you cannot, under any circumstance, mail them.

Does CVS call when prescription is ready?

You will typically receive text alerts when we have information for you about your prescriptions or other healthcare information.
